Alana graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2008 with her BSN. She worked at
Riverside Methodist Hospital on a complex medical-surgical unit for 2 years before moving to
Dublin Methodist. There, she continued with medical-surgical nursing before transitioning to
the ICU in 2019. Working in the ICU during a pandemic, while attending graduate school, was
very challenging and eye-opening.
Higher education is something that Alana has always valued. In 2021, she graduated
from Mt. Carmel College of Nursing with her Masters. She chose a Family Nurse Practitioner
concentration, as this would allow her to see patients throughout the life span. She enjoys
caring for patients in a comprehensive, holistic manner and enjoys helping patients at Synergy
in the least invasive way possible.
Outside of work, Alana enjoys decorating, cooking, crafting, and spending time with her
husband, Aaron, and their four children (Alivia- 10, Avalyn-8, Archer- 7, and Alexander- 6). They
like to have family game nights, watch movies, and go boating in the summer. They have a 4
year-old mini golden doodle named Daisy and a 3 year-old tabby cat named Meeko
